Mid-Holiday Treats

I was lucky enough to have three weeks off this Summer, and not only from work but from my little baking projects too. Although I enjoy decorating little cakes I do also like a little hiatus as well. During my three weeks off I planned a trip to see my Uncle in the Bruce Peninsula, Ontario and as a hostess gift I brought along some truffle cakes. I know that my Uncle and Aunt are fond ice cream so I felt inspired to bring some ice cream like flavours to the truffle cakes. I mixed three flavours: chocolate, vanilla, and caramel. I quite liked the look of all the truffles in a group in their box, I rather felt inspired to try other ice cream flavours in the future....
